Free Concert: UConn Chamber Choir May 4, 2019

The UConn Chamber Singers, known for their expressive and high-energy performances and comprised of the most advanced vocal students, perform under the direction of Dr. Jamie Spillane. They sing a cappella music from Renaissance classics to modern vocal jazz, with particular focus on music of living composers, as well as folk and world music. In the spring of 2018, the choir toured Austria and Italy.

Free Concert: Adam Levin March 16, 2019

Classical guitarist and recording artist Adam Levin has performed across the globe. His live performances have been featured nationally on NPR’s Performance Today and the nationally-syndicated Classical Guitar Alive. A recipient of numerous top prizes and a Fulbright Scholar in the field of music performance for researching contemporary Spanish guitar repertoire, he is professor of guitar at the University of Rhode Island.

Free Concert: MuUyas String Trio February 9, 2019

MuUyas Trio

MuUyas means ‘making music’ in the dialect from Seediq, one of fourteen Taiwanese aboriginal tribes. In keeping with their name, the trio explores music from diverse musical heritages, including their native Taiwan and western classical culture. All doctoral music candidates at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music, they have performed throughout the United States and Canada and, in Taiwan, they performed at the National Taichung Theatre and National Concert Hall.
