Instruction: Electric, Acoustic, Classical Guitar
Chris has been playing guitar for over 20 years with 10 years teaching experience in and around the Manchester area. His passion for playing guitar has evolved over the years into a passion for teaching guitar. From classical to bluegrass he is comfortable playing many styles and genres of music.
He is a graduate from CCSU where he studied classical guitar and received his bachelor’s degree in music education. He studied under Daniel Salizar, Tom Schuttenhelm, and Christopher Ladd. He has played in a number of touring bands as well as in the Connecticut Classical Guitar Society Ensemble. He arranges and plays solo acoustic songs for weddings. He is also very active in the community; Chris can frequently be found playing in area acoustic open mics, playing at various nursing homes and has a number of hands-on demonstrations for hearing impaired students at the Beverly School for the Deaf under his belt.
